A Day at the Zoo

This past year we've had a zoo membership which has been tons of fun. Our membership is about to run out so we thought we'd make one last trip to the zoo. We even took the kids out of school a little bit early to enjoy as much time as we could. Some of our favorites: the orangutans, tiger (he was very active), the petting zoo, stingray bay, the gnome house. Since it was our last visit for a while we decided to do some extras - like stingray bay and camel rides. I think this was one of the most fun times we've had at the zoo - the weather was lovely and we went at a time of day that was so not crowded. We felt like we had the place to ourselves! We stayed until almost closing and still hadn't seen all of the animals.

The Heat Is On

Oh how I'm aching for a cool, chilly, gloomy day! But, it appears someone has forgotten to turn off the outdoor heater.
